Performance

Revolva has shared stages with Weird Al Yankovic, The Flying Karamazov Brothers and some of the hottest neo-vaudeville acts around. You may have never seen anything like this dynamo. After you do, you’ll certainly want to see her again. Her arsenal of skills includes:

CHARACTER-DRIVEN STAGE ROUTINES: Drawing on experience acting and staging her own written work, Revolva brings you a hoop act unlike any other, incorporating comedy, spectacle, “huggling,” dance, other props and eye-popping costumes.

FIRE PERFORMANCE (REVOLVA IS THE FIRST WOMAN TO WIN 1ST PLACE IN BURNING MAN’S “FIRE IDOL” CONTEST): Ever seen up to six fire hoops in one act, with four of those fire hoops spinning simultanously on four different body parts? In 2010, Revolva beat out fire performers from across the country to win “Fire Idol” at Burning Man (sponsored by Trick Concepts), becoming the first woman to take that prize. She’s not only able to set her props ablaze and do amazing tricks with them, she’s also insured by Specialty Insurance Agency & Clowns of the U.S., professional and concerned with safety. She urges you not to settle for anything less

STREET SHOWS, ROAMING ENTERTAINMENT: During her years as a sometimes-broke grad student, Revolva paid her bills by busking (doing street performance). This practical training sharpened her ability to make a crowd laugh or feel suspense during her “stage 6 hooping headstand of doom.” Whether she’s doing strolling dances, telling jokes — yes, she comes equipped with her own headset mic — or giving the crowd mini hoop lessons, Revolva will make your festival or event one to remember. *Other performers available with Revolva, upon request.
